How To Have An Anti-Bullying Rally At Your School

Raising Anti-Bullying Awareness Helps Keep Kids Safe

Sadly, almost everyone has a memory of bullying, whether they were bullied, a friend was the target, or in some cases, of being a bully themselves. With the rise in school shootings and teen suicide, and with bullying becoming more prevalent than ever thanks to the internet, it’s important for kids to understand the harm that bullying causes and to have a plan of action if they are bullied. Having an anti-bullying rally in your school is a great way to get everyone together to make a pledge to end bullying for good! There are many anti-bullying items you can use as to decorate your rally and use as giveaways to make it a big success.

Anti-Bullying Balloons

Decorate the room where you’re having the rally with anti-bullying balloons. Hang anti-bullying banners over the doors to get everyone’s attention. The banners and balloons come in different colors, so you can set up a table with a matching tablecloth at the door to really catch everyone’s eye.

Anti-Bullying Bracelets

As students enter the rally, give each one an anti-bullying pin and anti-bullying bracelet. Encourage everyone in the school, no matter what group they hang out with, to wear the bracelet to school each day. Anti-Bullying bracelets & pins act as a reminder that bullying will not be tolerated, as well as a show of strength and support for those who’ve been bullied.  Another idea is to give out pieces of anti-bullying jewelry as students leave the rally as a reward for making a pledge to end bullying.

Anti-Bullying Stickers

At the rally, have students and teachers share their thoughts on why it’s so important to end bullying and how everyone can do their part. At the end of the rally, give students anti-bulling stickers for their notebooks as another reminder and as encouragement to stand strong against bullying.

Good luck, and be sure to comment to let us know how your anti-bullying rally goes!
